Перед использованием катетера, вскрывают упаковку на 2-3 см, закрепляют её с помощью фиксирующего диска на крае горизонтальной поверхности, чтобы основная часть упаковки свисала вниз. Вливают в упаковку чистую воду и подождать 30 сек. За это время лубрикант поливинилпирролидон на поверхности катетера впитывает воду и активируется, становясь очень скользким. Перед катетеризацией обрабатывают антисептиком область наружного отверстия мочеиспускательного канала.
